Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Standee application ("App"). By using the App, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, do not use the App and promptly delete it from your device.
Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, Standee grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your Mac computer for personal or commercial use to improve your health and productivity through intelligent standing reminders.
Mac App Store Purchase: If you purchase the App through the Mac App Store, your subscription is managed through your Apple ID and is subject to Apple's Terms of Service.
Subscription Plans: The App offers subscription-based access with different tiers of functionality. Premium features require an active subscription.
Important Health Notice: Standee is designed as a wellness tool to encourage regular movement and standing breaks. It is not a medical device and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Users with health conditions should consult healthcare professionals before making significant changes to their activity patterns.
By using Standee, you acknowledge and consent to the App's use of system permissions including:
Accessibility features to detect user activity
Screen recording permissions for video playback detection
Microphone access for meeting detection (optional)
All data processing occurs locally on your device. Standee does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to external servers.
Standee retains all right, title, and interest in and to the App, including all intellectual property rights. This Agreement does not convey to you any ownership rights or interest in the App, except for the limited license granted herein.
Automatic Updates: If you purchased the App through the Mac App Store, you receive updates as long as your subscription is active.
Feature Modifications: Standee reserves the right to modify, add, or remove features with updates to improve user experience and health outcomes.
You shall not:
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App
Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
Use the App in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations
Share, distribute, resell, sublicense, or transfer your subscription or the App to any third party
Disable or circumvent the App's health and safety features
Billing: Subscription fees are charged through your Apple ID account
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings
Refunds: Refund requests are subject to Apple's refund policy
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STANDEE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. STANDEE MAKES NO WARRANTIES REGARDING HEALTH OUTCOMES OR MEDICAL BENEFITS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL STANDEE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY HEALTH-RELATED CLAIMS OR OUTCOMES.
This Agreement is effective until terminated. Your rights under this Agreement will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any term or condition of this Agreement. Upon termination, you shall cease all use of the App and destroy all copies of the App in your possession or control.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of United States. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of United States.
